A Bit About Me
Experienced and competent Environment Supervisor using various media and software workflows with a strong emphasis on modeling who has supervised several teams of artists while fostering a safe environment for curiosity, ingenuity and experimentation.
-
Involved in all aspects of creating large scale and immersive digital environments.
-
Built critical assets for several Academy Award-winning Pixar films.
-
Wealth of experience with art direction and supervision of the creation of many films including Pixar's film, Elemental. Elemental’s small art department necessitated having me art direct the modelers on the look and style of the film. Reinforcing story objectives with meticulous detail where appropriate.
-
In-depth knowledge of pipeline needs to retain efficiency and compatibility.
-
Comfortable sustaining clear communication with all departments to ensure artistic vision and quality.
-
Working with technical departments to develop new tools and more efficient workflows.
I enjoy everything about movie making; story telling, art, cinematography, modeling and making virtual worlds. A technology fanatic. My background also includes being an architect for 7 years (Designing homes, schools, churches, bio-tech, multi-family dwellings) which has helped me create unique yet believable structures. My experience includes real time game development, vfx, previs, and animated films. I eventually got called to work on Star Wars: Attack of the Clones at Skywalker Ranch, an opportunity I couldn't pass up, and the rest, as they call it, is history.
I'm also an avid sailor and adventurer. Completed several Ironman Races and avid cyclist.
